He was born in Evanston, Illinois, on February 5, 1947, a son to the late Martin and Victoria Strenisky Majewski. William graduated from Evanston High School in 1965. He received a football scholarship to the University of Miami. Following college he worked as an Operations Manager for with Roadway Express Incorporated, formerly Yellow Freight, then for Walt Disney World, thereafter he started his own landscaping business and retired in 2003. In his spare time he was an avid fan of all sports, especially football and baseball. He enjoyed outside activities in Florida such as water skiing and boating. When his daughter Maggie was in school, William coached girls’ softball and they traveled extensively with the team. William stayed active with the alumni football team of the University of Miami.
Forever cherishing the memories of William is his beloved wife Patricia E. Casey of 53 years and his only daughter, Maggie (Douglas) Bowen; a step-son, John (Kim) Casey; a brother, Jim (Ellen) Majewski; a grandson, Liam Bowen.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one sister Pat (Walter) Rickter; and a step-son, Daniel Casey.
Williams request for cremation has been honored by Baldwin Fairchild East Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be hosted by his family at a later date.
