On March 7, 2023, Paul Vincent Tatum passed away in Altamonte Springs, Florida at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by Kathleen Tatum, his beloved wife of 63 years. Paul was adopted at birth by Albert and Pauline Tatum in Hudson, Michigan and married Kathleen in 1956. Paul joined the USAF in 1953 and spent more than 20 years serving his country around the world. He was in the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) division, received a Bronze Star, and retired as a Major in 1974. Following retirement from the USAF, Paul completed his bachelor’s degree and became a history teacher. He was devoted to Kathleen and his children and grandchildren and enjoyed golfing, fishing, travel, and watching Formula 1 auto racing. Paul is survived by his three children, Patrick Tatum, Paula O’Shea and Tracey (Joey) Barbaree as well as seven grandchildren, Sarah Tatum, Casey Tatum, Erin O’Shea, Meghan O’Shea, Connor (Ragan) Barbaree, Tatum Barbaree, and Harper Barbaree, and a great grandson, Kaisen Tatum. The family will celebrate Paul and Kathleen’s lives with a private memorial service.
