Judith Hope Atalski

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on September 13, 1940, she spent much of her life in Central Florida, where she built a life filled with family, travel, and creativity.

Judy met and married Russell Atalski, her husband of 63 years, and together they built not only a family but a thriving business. As a trained dental assistant, Judy eventually joined Russ in running Atalski Dental Lab, earning a reputation as a sharp, savvy businesswoman.

In her healthier years, Judy and Russ explored the world together, visiting China, Europe, and the Caribbean. They also traveled extensively across the United States in their motorhome, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

A woman of many passions, Judy was an avid collector of antiques, specializing in inkwells, Depression-era glass, and Santa Claus figurines. Her artistic talents were well-known among family and friends, particularly through her hand-crafted calligraphy cards. Judy also had a gift for cooking and entertaining, often gathering loved ones around the table for memorable meals.

Judy is survived by her husband, Russell Atalski, of Maitland; daughter, Colby (Michael) Griffin, of Orlando; her granddaughters, Rachael Griffin of St. Petersburg, Abigail (Owen) Reid, of Apopka and her sister, Paula (Steve) Long, of Paloma, California; many nieces and nephews. Judy’s brother, Michael Burdges of Greenville S.C. passed away in 2007.

A graveside service will occur Friday, October 11, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789.
