Mary Taylor Deleyiannis

Mary Taylor Deleyiannis, 83, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on April 19, 1941 to Frederic White-Brown Taylor and Dorothy Butterfield in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Cecilian Academy, she went on to earn her Fine Arts Degree at Beaver College. In 1959, Mary met Steven Deleyiannis. They wed in 1964, and spent 60 years building a beautiful life together. Mary spent 30 years of her life dedicated to her artwork. She had a true passion for painting, specializing in portraits. Her family will forever feel Mary’s presence, surrounded by her artwork in their home. She is survived by her loving husband, Steven; her sons, Fred and Andrew; five granddaughters, Ashley, Alexis, April, Leonor, and Paloma; and one great-granddaughter, Rayleigh. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 4:00PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
