Marilyn Thomas Robison, 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born on April 26, 1941 to the late Henry and Freda Thomas of Little Rock and was the sister of Bliss Thomas. Marilyn was a devoted mother to her two sons, Todd and Brian Robison of Westport, Connecticut and was the proud and doting grandmother of Sydney, Samara, Eli, and Noah. Raising her sons in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she prided herself on being deeply involved in her children’s activities at school and in their sports and other interests. Her own passion was interior design and entertaining with fine taste and flair, often bringing family and friends together for special celebrations. She loved playing tennis and mahjong and enjoyed throwing pool parties during the hot summers in Tulsa. While living there (1968-2007), she was a long-time and active member of Temple Israel and volunteered at the Boys Club of Tulsa. Upon returning to Little Rock in 2008, Marilyn re-joined Congregation B’nai Israel where she had been confirmed many years prior when in high school. Succeeding her father, she took over her family’s business, Thomas Pest Control, and provided loving care to her father and her sister.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Freda Granoff Thomas and Henry Morrison Thomas and is survived by her children, Todd Robison and his life-partner, Roberta Shapiro and Brian Robison and his wife, Jodi Robison, her grandchildren, Sydney, Samara, Eli, and Noah, and her sister, Bliss Thomas. The family is very thankful to Clarissa Kitchen for her friendship and her kindhearted management of Marilyn’s care through her Caring Hands Services.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, November 8th at 11am at Congregation B’nai Israel, 3700 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, AR 72212. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Music Fund, c/o Congregation B’nai Israel at the address above.
