Herbert Jarrett Davis, aged 79, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
He is survived by his son, Michael and wife Jennifer Davis of Little Rock, and their sons, James Cajune of Las Vegas and Joshua Cajune of Hampton, Virginia; daughter Shannon and husband Peter Hunsuck and their children, Caroline, Katie, Will, Leighton and Annie Hunsuck of Little Rock; sister Hope and husband Jerry Severson and their children, Candace, MJ, Faith and Jarrett. He was predeceased by his parents, Jewel and Alice Davis of Sioux City, Iowa.
He is also survived by extended family members and a host of friends from his community, church and FBI that will miss him dearly.
He spent his formative years in Louisiana and Texas and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1961. He attended and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas, in 1965 and received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He served on active duty in the Marine Corps for three years including a year in combat in Vietnam from March 1966 to April 1967 where his unit earned the Presidential Unit Citation. After his honorable discharge at his final rank of Captain, he served with distinction as a Special Agent in the FBI for 27 years, from June 1968 to June 1995. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas.
