Carolyn was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on April 20, 1944, to Thomas Ward and Effie Cole. She retired from Southwestern Bell after many years of dedicated service.
A beloved mother and grandmother, Carolyn was affectionately known as "Meme" to her family. She devoted herself to being the best mother and grandmother she could be, offering unconditional love and support to those closest to her.
Carolyn leaves behind her son, Michael "Mike" Henry; daughter, Jamie Henry; grandchildren, Sidney Hixon (Caleb) and Michael Henry; great-grandchildren, Elijah Hixon and Jude Hixon; as well as her brothers, Joe Ward (Frances), Coy Ward (Mona), Darrell Ward, Larry Ward (Melinda), and Melvin Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry; sister, Shirley Taylor; and her parents, Thomas Ward and Effie Cole. Carolyn will also be deeply missed by her beloved friend, Ben Mitchell.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed birdwatching, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones, creating cherished memories. She had a joyful spirit and was known for her ability to have fun and bring happiness to everyone around her.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of her son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and everyone whose life she touched.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, Arkansas 72002. A graveside will occur Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72117.
