Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain. Ben died with his boots on, doing what he loved-surveying.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Sicking Kittler, and predeceased wife, Patricia Ann Kittler. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Francis and Helen, and a younger brother, James Kittler. He is survived by son, Robert Allen Roberts and daughter, Angela Michelle Swann. Daughter in law, Angie Roberts and Candy Eads. He was a long time member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, where he served faithfully for many years.
He graduated from high school in Buckeye, AZ and earned a civil engineering degree at Worcester Academy in Worcester, MA. He was a life-long learner taking continuing ed courses in GIS, GPS and computer courses.
After his family, the two loves of Ben’s life were flying and surveying. He received his pilot’s license when he was 20 and has been avidly flying ever since. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Airborne Division of Strategic Air Command. Ben was a registered surveyor in multiple states. He owned a surveying business for many years. He worked as a state surveyor for seven years, where he investigated survey disputes. Needless to say, retirement was not on his horizon!
Ben had a winning way with people. He often would come home from a survey talking about his clients complaining about what nasty, rotten neighbors they had, but after Ben met with them, they were very kind and helpful. Ben always carried sacagawea dollars in his pocket. In restaurants, he would give a dollar to a young child who was behaving. He was the most kind and generous person that anyone would ever meet. He was loved by all and will forever be in our hearts.
