Robert George Ripley

Born April 24, 1930, Robert George Ripley, passed away in Abbotsford with family by his side July 10, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Pamela, his brother, Bruce & sister Jo-Anne. Bob is survived by his second wife, Emily, & five children: Robin, Roanne, Richard, Wendy, and Rodger, as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bob’s 35 year electrical engineering career in both military & civilian life took him to many far-reaching regions and countries, where he lived & worked, from Nunavut & Egypt to Germany & the U.S. These experiences introduced the world of travel to him. He enjoyed exploring Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Central America & most European countries.

After spending much of his life moving from one province to another, as well as a couple of countries in between, he enjoyed the last 32 years living at Crown Point in Abbotsford. Bob’s family is grateful to his extended family, friends & neighbors for the love and support received, especially during his later years as his health declined.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Bob’s life.
