Michael Anthony (Gregorio DasPadre Nolan) Guido was born February 13, 1962. Just short of his 62nd birthday, Michael Guido’s battle with cancer came to a peaceful end surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. His love for service and the outdoors was passed down from his father Glenn Nolan, and from his step-father, Joe Guido his hard work and dedication; and from his mother, Geraldine Guido, he learned a compassion and unconditional love that spread like wildfire. Harry Edmunds, Don Wroblewski, Remo and Jan Ficca were a large role in building his character from a young age.
At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Military and ran with the 82nd Airborne, worked as a OR Technician and computer security specialist at the Pentagon and was stationed in Germany when he retired after 20 years of service. He continued his career in cyber security, after settling down in Lower Burrell, PA, he served the community as a chaplain and firefighter with the Lower Burrell Fire Department station 69, mentored youth for a local chess club, and helped his neighbors in any way he was could.
In 2014, he settled in Powell, TN with his wife Angie to watch his grandchildren grow. Continuing in his volunteer work, he became the den leader for his local Cub Scouts (Pack 157) with his two grandchildren. He was a pillar of the community helping serve his church and neighbors. He met no strangers, leaving his signature fist bumps with everyone he met.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Jeri and Joe Guido; father, Glen Nolan; and sister Jill. Michael is survived by his wife of 32 years, Angelika; son, Tony (Lindsay) Nolan; daughter, Beth (Travis) Pennington; daughter, Ekleana Guido; grandchildren, Emma and Connor; sister, Lisa Guido; niece, Sarra; brother, Brian (LeeAnn) Guido; niece, Gabriella; nephew, Caleb. And a long list of extended family and friends.
