He dedicated 22 years of his life to the United States Air Force where in 2005 he won USAF Senior NCO of the Year. Michael was a member of Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church for several years. He spent his career years as a lifetime logistics professional starting with USAF, Turbine Generator Maintenance and finally Newell Brands.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Martha Eleanor and Estel Crisp and sister Sherry Crisp.
He is survived by his children, Dalton (Miranda) Crisp, Brent (Sabrina) Crisp and Justin (Christina) Smith; grandchildren Victor, Vincent, Eleanor Smith Teagan, Taitlyn Crisp, and Ellis Crisp; siblings Janet Theado, Sherry Crisp, and Denise Bednar. Michael also leaves behind his beloved dog Maddie.
The family welcomes friends for a Visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church from 9:30-11:00 am with a Mass Service to follow at 11am. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Last Supper at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Michael's name to Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church of Alcoa, TN, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
