On Friday, Oct 22, 2021, Josh completed his earthly journey pursuing his passion in the mountains of Tennessee and proceeded to his eternal home in heaven.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Maryville, Tn.
Josh was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ. His family was his world, his comfort, his joy, his everything. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a true friend to so many in every facet of his life. In friendship he showed no partiality nor bounds. Additionally he was an ardent patriot and loved his country.
He was a loyal employee of Marriott International for a quarter of a century. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast with an unprecedented passion for riding his motorcycle in the Mountains of Tennessee. He loved experiencing God’s amazing creation while on his bike. He was a beloved staff member of the retail store at Deals Gap. He was an artist and an amazing home chef.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Roy Eugene Davis; his favorite uncles, Bubba Marchetti and Richard “Tonto” Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, April; his son Chance and his wife, Siglinda; his daughters, Skylar and Jocelyn; his mother Evelyn Jean; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Neil Horlock and Lisa and Jeff Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darell and Aundrea Johnson and Aaron and Sara Johnson; Beloved Father and Mother-in-law, Darell Sr. and Susie Johnson, and an overwhelming number of nieces, nephews, and friends that he loved so dearly.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1020 Walker Road, Maryville, TN 37801. The officiating pastor will be Tom Hatley.
There will be a time of casual fellowship with friends and family at 5:30 pm prior to the service.
The family would like to express appreciation for so many acts of kindness from Fellowship Baptist Church, Maryville Christian School, and so many friends and family. We are overwhelmed by your love, prayers and Christian charity during this difficult time.
