James "Jim" Alan Campbell passed away Monday morning November 11th, 2024, with his family by his side. He was 93 years old. Jim is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Mike) Pierce of Chattanooga, Karen (Mike) Walkup. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Rachel (Chris) Pierce Wesson of Chattanooga, Jamison (Sarah) Walkup of Windsor, Colorado, Ryan Pierce, Jeramie (Abby) Walkup. Also, by his great grandchildren, Aiden, Chloe, Ellie, Silas, Nathan, Louis, Katherine Anne, Joseph, Wylder, Juniper, and Ian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Grace Campbell, his wife Carolyn Campbell, Judy Campbell, the mother of his daughters. Jim was born in Knoxville on October 26, 1931. He was a graduate of Young High School and attended the University of Tennessee. He served in the Navy in Pensacola, Florida. He worked at Tysaman. He was an owner of Air and Hydraulic Equipment Company, Inc. in Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga. He was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. He was President and member of South Knoxville Optimist Club for over 30 years. He served at the Love Kitchen for many years. He loved God, country, and most of all his family. Dad was a kind and gentle man. He will be missed greatly.
The family will honor James with a private service. Entombment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
