Delores James Wheeler departed this world Thursday, December 28th. at home surrounded by her loved ones. Dee was born Feb 13, 1945 in Duncan, OK, spent the majority of her life in Maryville, TN. She retired from nursing at Blount Memorial Hospitals' Family Birthing Center after 35 years. Dee loved her family, beloved grand puppies, dancing, cruising, swimming, sewing, painting, gardening, laughing & working out with her sweet friends at the gym (Rush & Planet Fitness). Everyone loved Dee and she will certainly be missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Freddie; daughter, Monica (Alan) Holtzclaw; son, John P. Hitt; sisters, Annette and Cecelia; uncle, Wayne, and many nieces, nephews, close cousins and many friends. A private service will be held at her request.
