Leamon Saylor Jr., age 89 of Albion passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home under the care of Oakland Hospice and his loving family. He was born July 2, 1927 to Leamon and Flora (Davis) Saylor in Shields, Kentucky.
He served in the United States Army. Lemon then came to Albion in 1955 to work at Corning Glass until they closed the factory. He also was a Pentecostal Minister for many years.
He leaves to cherish sisters, Mary Lee Holt and Doshia M. Fee both of Albion; a brother,
James (Betty) Saylor of Lancaster, Ohio; special nieces, Barbara Northcutt, Flora Sue Rose,
Donna Rose which were all Caregivers; nephews, Timothy Fee and Jerry McCreary; a host of many nieces and nephews. Leamon was a wonderful man who was dedicated to serving the Lord and taking care of his family. He will be dearly missed by all especially the nieces and nephews that he raised as if they were his own children, Donna Rose, Sue Whitehead, Tim Fee and Jerry MCreary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Trula Whitehead and Glora M. Holt and a
niece, Sue Whitehead.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00PM at
the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 16475 - 28 Mile Road, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 12th at 11:00AM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion; officiating are Elder Estill Hamilton and Pastor Thomas Mann.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
