Kathy was born October 20th, 1956 in Albion to Robert Sr. and Peggy (Kemp) Neal. She attended
Albion Public schools.
She spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker. She worked in a few factories but mainly waitressed in the Marshall area most notably at the Hi-Lite Drive In and the former Hilcrest Truck Stop. What meant most to her though was taking care of her boys Carl Jr. and Mike. Being a mom was everything to her.
Everyone who knew Kathy would agree she had the biggest heart and warmest smile. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have a good time.
She took great pride in keeping a very clean home. Always a "busy body" especially on Sunday mornings with her country music blaring through the house, along with the vacuum of course.
Kathy could also be very stubborn and set in her ways. She was always up for a good "debate" in which she rarely, if ever, surrendered in defeat! She was very keen of her surroundings (nosey), and paid great attention to detail. You couldn't get anything past her. (Just try moving one of her knick-knacks just an inch out of place.)
Above all and most important to her was her children, grandchildren, and family.
Kathy is survived by her sons Carl Jr. (Amy) Fowler and Mike (Jesse) Fowler both of Olivet; grandchildren Madison, Olivia, Emma, Faith, Seth, Farah, and Lars; siblings Calvin (Kay) Neal of North Carolina, Shelly Hale of Albion, and Randall (Ariel) Case of New Hampshire; and many nieces, nephews and cousins alike. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kimberly Ann, both parents, and brothers Bobby Neal and Brian Neal.
A private family only viewing took place followed by cremation. Interment of her ashes will take place in Rice Creek Cemetery at a later date.
