James "Jim" Phillip Snyder

12-24-1946 to 9-16-2019

He was born in Albion to Willard and Irene (Robinson) Snyder. Jim grew up in Albion and attended Albion High School graduating in 1965. He went on to graduate from Western Michigan

University.

Jim started working at Hayes-Albion first in production then became a foreman. After that Jim worked at Dick Scott Buick in Albion as a bookkeeper and at Bob Frahms Chevrolet as a used car salesman. He enjoyed his work and meeting many new friends over the years. Jim retired

at the age of 62 years.

Jim was an avid fan of the U of M sports, he was a season ticket holder of the football games for many years. He enjoyed softball for years as a coach for Dick Scott Nichols and Waito’s.

He also enjoyed fishing, golf and loved to grill out on his deck year round. Most of all loved

Jim is survived by his brother, Dr. Ben Snyder (wife Diane) of Worcester, MA and his

Nephew, Hans Snyder (wife Christine) of Grafton, MA and a great niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Stephen and sister Susan.

He was able to stay in the house he grew up in with the help of his friends Karen and

Steve and the many months of around the clock help from wonderful caretakers, Stormi, Ellis, Alex, Gabby and Chad.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 4:00pm at the

J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with

Pastor Al Henson officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
