Gary was born December 12, 1937 in Albion the son of Cecil and Louise (Lusk) Sims.
He served our country in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed fishing. Gary is survived by his children: Tamara (Steve) Lanphar, Richard (Tammy) Sims, Dwayne (Karen) Sims, Timothy Sims and Ginger (Mike Beaver) Mesarosh, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and siblings: James (Jeanette) Sims, Brenda (Larry) Wheeler and Ted Sims. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jane and brother, Donald.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Peters officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Followed by Military Honors.
