Preceded in death by his wife Carol, parents Stephen and Ann, brother Michael, and daughter Deborah Backer.
Survived by his children Sharen (Tim) Meyer, Becky Bradley, Carol (Brendan) Bannister, Michael (Tracy), and step-daughter Susan (John) Klimo; one grandson and six granddaughters, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Steve was a WWII Marine Veteran, volunteered with the Pioneers, served as union steward, had a strong compassion for the disadvantaged, was a very optimistic and positive individual, and shared his love of outdoors and the water with his family.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 22nd from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W Market St., Fairlawn, OH., where the Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 23rd at 10:00 AM. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park.
