She was married for twenty five years and had four children. She was a loving and devoted mother. Marilyn will be long remembered for her outgoing personality, strength, and truthfulness. Her laugh was contagious and she really knew how to have fun. Her favorite quote was “Get with it!” Marilyn loved being with her family.
She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1950, starting her first job at Scott’s Five and Dime, then worked at Ohio Edison until she decided to stay home with her children. Once the children were old enough, she became a full-time aide in the special education classroom at Cuyahoga Falls City Schools for twenty-five years.
In retirement she loved to swim, attended the Quirk Center, and belonged to several women’s groups. She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, watching movies, dancing, playing games; especially euchre and Fill or Bust!
A special thanks to Tallmadge Heath and Rehabilitation, and Western Reserve Hospital and Hospice for providing care and compassion.
A private family service will be held.
