She was born on January 18, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to Lyle and Ruth (Stephenson) Rowan. Joanne graduated from Coventry High School in 1964. She retired from Akron General Medical Center after many years. Joanne was a dedicated hard worker. She enjoyed cooking and making holidays special for her family. Joanne was a devoted grandmother, and loved her grandchildren above all else.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 33 years, George, sister, Martha Claus, brother, John Rowan, son-in-law, Larry Day, and step-son, Kevin Brunelle.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Mark (Christa) Brunelle and Renee Day, step-daughter, Diane (Dennis) Fetterhoff, grandchildren, Johnna Sheppard, Mark Brunelle, Jr., Samual Brunelle, Kevin Day, and Kayla Day, step-grandchildren, Melissa (David) Fischer and Scott (Rebeccah) Fetterhoff, siblings, Catherine Rowan, Michael Rowan, Mark “Danny” (Judy) Rowan, and Thomas (Carol) Rowan.
A private inurnment will take place.
