James L. Rice Sr.

Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on May 21, 2016 at the House of the Lord, located at 1650 Diagonal Road, Akron, OH 44320, with funeral services immediately following at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Arrangements are through Catavolos Funeral Home.

Jim preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rice Sr. Jim is survived by his wife Edith of 45 years; his two daughters Michele Rice and Melissa Rice and son James L. Rice II; seven grandchildren, Brittany and Christian Neal, Taylor Rice, Corwin Johnson, Bria Ekweozor, Alyssa Stukes, Nehemiah Rice; six great grandchildren, Mikayla, Arianna, Skylar, Christian Jr., Aniyah, and Jeremiah all of Pittsburgh, PA; mother Carrie Rice; brother Joseph Rice Jr. (Robin), sister Claudette (Danny) Hopkins of Akron, OH; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to RMHC of Pittsburgh in memory of James L. Rice.
