Connie was born on March 3, 1954 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Raymond and Doris (Mathewson) Elmer.
She graduated from Stow High School in 1972. She went on to earn her degrees from Ohio University & Eastern Kentucky University in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice and Social Work. Connie had a green thumb and could always bring a plant back to life. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader, completing the Fall Hiking Spree through the Metroparks & donating blood.
Connie will be deeply missed by her daughters who she was so proud of, Melissa (Kenny) Simers, Alison (Corey) Porter, and Carlie (Ben) Clarkston. She loved being a “Gra” to her six grandchildren, Savannah, Madelynn, Whitney, Evelynn, Franklin, and Elliot. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Cindy (Jim) Mudra, and Nancy (Jason) Francis.
Our Mom’s favorite verse was Psalm 118:24, this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice & be glad in it. Our family can find joy amidst this sorrow for she is finally with Jesus whole and complete.
A special thank you to Summa Hospice & the staff at Pebble Creek for the wonderful care of our Mom.
