Services to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 30, at Bluff Creek Cemetery, Taylor County, foothills of the High Hills of Callahan Divide.
She was born March 18, 1939 in Winters, Texas to the late Erwin and Beatrice (Mitchell) Schroeder. She was raised on the family farm with her siblings. She graduated from Winters High School in 1957.
Sylvia went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas while raising her two sons in North Dallas. She succeeded in sales with Warner Lambert. After retiring she moved to her farm in North Runnels County. There she served on the water board. She maintained a lifelong love of creativity and art.
She is preceded in death by her parents and loving brother James Schroeder husband of Jan Schroeder.
Sylvia is survived by sons, Lundgren (Susan), Talman (Suzan); sisters, Linda June Castle and Jan Schroeder(at heart); grandchildren, Kristin, Kirk, Cole and Bailey (John) Perryman; great grandchildren, Lorelai and Cynthia Perryman; nephews Jim (Melissa) Schroeder, Ben (Jessika) Schroeder, Curtis (Laura) Castle, Ben Castle, Colson, Blake and Sam Schroeder; nieces, Alice Castle, Val Castle, Browan, Claire Schroeder and Caroline Schroeder; cat, Miss October and her former husband, Frank Marshall Richie.
Our family wants to thank nephew and nieces, Larry, Marina, and Sierra Scala lifelong loving support. We are also thankful to Keith Martin for his patience and loving care helping Mom.
