A visitation will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy. 277, South, Abilene. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy. 277, South, Abilene.
Pat was born August 8, 1945, in Caldwell, Idaho to Robert and Estella Scott. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1963. She married Milton Oyama Buchanan on August 25, 1964. They lived in Arizona, Alabama, and settled in Abilene.
Pat was a member of the Elmdale Baptist Church. She took great pride in being a princess in Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed growing plants and flowers at her home.
She is survived by her three sons, Bryan Buchanan and wife Kathryn of Clyde, Beau Buchanan and wife Shelia of Seguin, Bruce Buchanan and wife Christy of Arlington; Carmen Li and husband Alex of California; brother Ernie Scott of Idaho; grandchildren, Brandon Buchanan and wife Amy of Clyde, Tasha Buchanan and wife Ashley Beyer of Bastrop, BaileyRose Buchanan of Cypress, Megan Danner of Japan, Oyama Buchanan and fiancé Kendall Barnett of Lubbock, Cellie Buchanan of Waco, Tayla Buchanan and Patricia Buchanan both of Arlington; great-grandson Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
