Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church in Abilene with Rev. Emilio Sosa, officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Armando Calderon, Jr., Adam Calderon, Christopher Perez, Daniel N. Perez, and Jesse Rodriguez, Jr., and great-grandson, Armando Calderon, III.
Mary was born in Brady, Texas to the late Daniel and Gavina (Yante) Aranda. She married the late Nestor Alcoser Perez, Sr. on January 16, 1954, together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage and raising a family. As a loving wife and mother she was a devoted homemaker. She moved to Abilene in the early 1960’s from San Angelo. She was formerly employed with TIMEX and Texas Instruments. She was a member of St. Vincent Palloti Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her love of family, she enjoyed the many memories they created over the years. You always knew where you stood with Mary her opinion was always freely given. She enjoyed working on her yard, shopping, and going on trips to Arizona. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Nestor A. Perez, Sr.; brother, Elias Aranda.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her children, Sylvia Calderon and her husband Armando, Nestor Perez Jr. and his wife Patricia, and Monica Rodriguez and her husband Jesse; 1 sister, Inez Aguero of Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephew’s other relatives and friends.
