Lucille graduated from Abilene High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. Lucille worked at Thornton’s Department store for 40 years. She and Jack, her husband, enjoyed their lives together for 49 years. They had many fishing and hunting trips with friends. They loved to have fish fry’s and have family and friends over.

She attended University Baptist Church and was an active member in the Ruth Sunday School Class. She thoroughly loved the ladies that she attended with.
She moved to University Place in February 2007. Lucille was very active in all of the activities there. She loved her family at the Place.
Lucille loved her family; but above all, her God. She was a “trooper” and lots of fun to be around. She could always make you laugh. She had a lot of determination and will power to always be the best she could be no matter what she might be enduring.
She will be missed by all who knew her. She lived a remarkable 95 years and was ready to meet her Lord when the day arrived.
She had two amazing doctors who cared for her, not only as a patient but as a friend, and a great big thank you to Dr. Cavuoti and Staff and Dr. Nick Patel and Staff. And also, a big thank you to the Outreach Health Nurses.
