Kevin was born on April 23, 1961 in Abilene to the late Thurman and Margaret (Wells) Hudson. He grew up in Abilene and spent his summers in Throckmorton with his beloved grandparents, where he learned many life skills under the tutelage of his grandfather. He married the love of his life, Tina Johnson on June 5, 1977. The two had known each other since junior high school, after marriage they began a family eventually consisting of four daughters. Kevin obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons in Criminal Justice. Kevin was employed with Callaway’s Carpet starting with floor installation and eventually becoming a Project Manager for over 20 years. After retiring from Callaway’s, he went on to become the financial manager for his wife’s company Big Country Health Care Services. He was very proud of his family’s business and the fact he and Tina were able to leave a legacy for their daughters and support them to reach their goals of all becoming Nurses. He enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar, and gambling. He also loved being at the lake jet skiing, fishing, and having a good time. He loved creating special memories with his family, especially once his grandchildren came along. He took the role of being an uncle seriously and loved his nieces and nephews in a special way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his in-laws, Johnny and Marie Johnson.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tina Hudson; his daughters, Ann Fisher, Devin Hudson, Nickie Robinson (Scott), Erin Merritt (Seth); grandchildren, Danyelle, Kaylee, Jordan, Tyler, Collin, Rachel, Krista, Jayse, Riley, Landyn, and one on the way Hayes; his step-mother, Linda Hudson; several siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
