A celebration of life will occur at FountainGate Fellowship Church, 909 N Willis Street, Abilene, TX 79603 on Saturday, January 4, 2023 at 2:00p.m.
With Scott Beard officiating. Jack will be laid to rest in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery in the Garden of Grace. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7pm at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 5701 US Highway 277S.
Jack was born April 7, 1956 in Abilene, Texas to Tom and Thorne Rosa King. Jack grew up in Abilene, Texas where he graduated from Abilene High School in 1974. He attended the University of Texas and Southwest Texas State University and graduated in 1978 with a degree in Journalism. Jack moved back to Abilene to work at his family business K-Pro. In 2006, he took over Willow Creek Golf Course. After years of planning, Jack opened Mulligans in 2018 where he poured his heart and soul into.
Jack married Jeannie July 3, 1997 and joined families to create a life full of love and laughter. There was nothing he loved more than watching his kids play sports. He never missed a game and was always their biggest fan. Jack enjoyed playing golf and teaching others to play the game. The beach was his happy place and made wonderful memories with his family there. Jack had a heart of gold and always welcomed everyone with open arms and a smile.
Jack is preceded in death by his father, Tom King; and his brother, Jay King.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie King; children, Chad and Laura Galle, Jonathan and Tabitha King, Clay Galle, Kyle and Morgan King, and Sam King; his mother, Thorne Rosa King; his sister, Jan Wylie and husband Mike, Joe King and wife Sam; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Zack, Raymond, Branson, Xzavier, Maddie, Clara, Paisley, Cooper, Jack, and Carson; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and several friends that are family.
