Helen Parsons, 81, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Abilene. Services are Thursday at 10:00 am at the Community Memorial Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd with Richard Adkisson officiating, and burial following in Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parsons was born April 2, 1930 in Waco, Texas. She was the daughter of O.C. and Eunice (Baker) Garner. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Street Church of Christ. She married William Parsons who preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded by her parents, three grandchildren and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Parsons of Galveston and Roy Parsons of Abilene, daughter, Marie Ely and husband, M.H. of Merkel; one brother and three sisters all of Clyde; 11 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandkids.
