Dorothy Renfro-Graham, 78, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at a local medical center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Cross Plains Cemetery with Burtis Williams officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 5 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on May 19, 1933 to C.M. and Ethel O. Sanders in Abilene, TX. She lived most of her life in Abilene and was employed as a nurse's aide until her retirement.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Pete Renfro; one brother, Frank Sanders; and one sister, Ruby May Chaplin.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosie Smith and James Bradley of Abilene, Linda Cochran and husband, Johnnie of Abilene, and Betty Rooney and husband, Aaron of Merkel; and one brother, Melvin E. Sanders and wife, Rosalee of Shallowater, TX, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
