He was born in Callao, Peru to Ines Perfetti and Jorge Romero. He was the second eldest of six children. At a young age, Carlos learned to work on cars with his grandfather, Oscar Perfetti. by the age of 15, he was a master mechanic in Peru. He enjoyed working with his hands and making a living working on cars. in 1972 he came to America on a one year visa, returning back to Peru in 1973. Carlos married in 1976 and his first son was born in 1977. Carlos had five sons and one daughter, whom he loved very much.
Carlos taught his sons and daughter how to work on cars, including his grandson, Papo. The most precious time to him was spending time with his family during cookouts, parties, holidays or just because. He always cared for his family and would always ask if they needed anything. He would do just about anything for his family including giving his last dollar.
Carlos is preceded in death by his mother, Ines, and two brothers, Fabio and Oscar Romero. He is survived by his brother, Julian (Diana) Romero, brother Julio Romero, brother, Luis (Linda) Romero, and a sister, Gely (Dan) Garmer, along with several nieces and nephews, his children, son, Carlos (Olga) Romero, Jr, son, Jorge Romero and mother of his children, Lavetta Elk, son Oscar (Christina) Romero, son William Romero, and daughter Maria Romero and son David Romero and wife Min Gomez. He has 19 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren also survived by the mother of his children Maria Herrera Donayre. He will be truly missed by ALL his family and friends who knew him. Visitation will be at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 4-8 pm. His Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10 am at the funeral home, Chapel of Faith. Interment will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
