Pete Molnar was born to Vera & Laslo Molnar in Chilliwack, BC on October, 21, 1961. He has an older sister Veronika, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. They lived in Yarrow then moved to Surrey in 1962. He travelled to Hungary to visit his parent’s homeland. Pete excelled at the early age of 5 in soccer. He loved riding bikes and soon started his own business at a young age, fixing and selling pedal bikes.
He met Debbie in grade 7 and they became close friends. They started dating at 17. Pete took up many sports and interests; fishing and hunting with his brother-in-law Dave and father-in-law Al.
Debbie and Pete had their first son Derick in 1982 and then married Debbie, the love of his life in 1986. Their second son Brock was born in 1986.
Pete was always busy working in sales, first in mobile homes, then trucks and equipment. He always had a deal going on, was always on his cell phone and always had something to sell. You always knew when Pete was coming. You would hear the jingling of his keys or hear him whistling a tune.
They were always a busy family, camping, fishing, and racing motor cross with his sons. He loved family gatherings, birthday parties, and going out for dinner with friends. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, skiing, jet skiing, hockey, fly fishing, quading, dirt biking, trail riding, snowmobiling, and boating. But his passion turned more toward horseback riding with Deb and soon turned into team penning which he grew to love more and more. He and Deb loved the sport and their time together riding, practicing, and competing together.
The family moved to Aldergrove in 2004 and they would soon grow with an addition of 5 grandchildren, Ava, Keenyn, Kacia, Arlyss, and Mikeala and daughter-in-law’s Elissa and Nicole.
Pete would always help anyone and everyone who asked. He always worked hard and put his heart and soul into whatever he was doing.
He loved his family and Debbie, his wife, the love of his life. We love you Papa Pete and will miss you and never forget you.
