Mary married Abe Fehr September 4, 1949 and they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to start their family. In 1967 they packed up, left the cold of the prairies and moved to Abbotsford, B.C. Mary’s fortitude was tested when in 1969, Abe died suddenly of a heart attack, which deeply affected her family. Her deep faith and tenacious love for her own saw her through. In 1979, she married Edwin Dyck.
Mary is survived by her children, Gary (Lorrie) Fehr of Kelowna, BC, Joyce (Stan) Livingston of Qualicum Beach, BC, Rick (Gayle) Fehr of Abbotsford, BC and Randy (Maggie) Fehr of Abbotsford BC, her 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jake (Eva) Rempel of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Eva Remier of Abbotsford, BC and John (Susan) Rempel of Kelowna, BC.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob S and Mary Rempel, her husband Abe Fehr, her second husband Edwin Dyck, her son Robert Fehr and her grandson Trent Fehr.
Our family benefited greatly from her positive perspective on life no matter the circumstances as exhibited in her deep faith and love of her Saviour, Jesus Christ.
She lived a beautiful 92 year old life. She was kind, funny, enjoyed practicing hospitality, going to church and singing hymns. She will always be remembered for her love of playing games (and winning) and her beautiful garden, love of flowers and anything pink!
She will be greatly missed, but left us with a great legacy of how to love God and her family faithfully.
There will be a private family celebration of her life in October 2021.
