Henrich Hildebrand

Born and raised in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico, he was the fourth child born out of eleven brothers and sisters (Aganetha “Nettie” Hildebrand, Margaretha Hildebrand, Cornelius “Neil” Hildebrand, Martin Hildebrand, Anna Hildebrand, Peter Hildebrand, Johan Hildebrand, Nelenora Hildebrandt, Jakob “Jake” Hildebrandt and Willie Hildebrandt) of Martin Hildebrand and Margaretha Koethler. In 1969, he married Helena Friesen and had three children, Maria Hildebrand, Sara Hildebrand and David Hildebrand. In 1990, he re-married to Evelyn Hildebrand and had one daughter, Katrina Hildebrand.

Henry worked many years as millwright and/or heavy duty mechanic in large industrial companies such as Bristol Meyers and Johnston Equipment. He went on to build his first family home in 1992 in Surrey, British Columbia. In 2016, he retired after his first stroke and moved his family to Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Henry passed from glioblastoma brain cancer. He is survived by his four children, his spouses from both marriages and two grandchildren (Brandon Doucet and Ewan Hildebrand).

We know Henry passed knowing how much everyone loved him and will dearly miss him. He is forever loved and forever missed. May his soul rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 beginning at 12:00pm at 34135 Higginson Crescent, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7M5.
