

Dora Klassen, 82, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025 in Abbotsford BC. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 16, 1942 in Watrous, Saskatchewan to Jacob and Helen Klassen, Dora’s unwavering faith guided her life of service. Dora studied at Columbia Bible Institute and graduated in 1989 from BCIT with a degree as a Registered Nurse. She used this degree in combination with studies at the University of the Nations (Youth With A Mission) in Kona, Hawaii to serve in Pune, India as the Head of the Primary Health Care School. Although the school eventually closed, Dora stayed on the base in the capacity of Librarian and Bookkeeper. She spent more than 25 years with YWAM and in addition to India served throughout Asia, Australia, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia in various capacities. Dora had a passion for learning and exploration and traveled the world extensively both with her children and as a missionary. Dora is survived by her son John (Martina), daughters Sheri and Denise (Michael) and by her six grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Linda and predeceased by her sisters Kathryn and Lillian and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
