He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Johanna, his children and grandchildren: Malcolm (Kirsten)-Eliana, Rachel & Mattias; Elizabeth; Kathleen (Joel)-Nate; and Esther (Calvin)-Elsie; his brothers David (Donna), Michael (Judy) and Malcolm (Irene) and their families; also Johanna’s siblings and their families: Wiebe-d. 2008 (Deborah), Alice (Harry), Hilda (Bernie), Winnie (Ernst), John (Jolinka), Betsy (Rens) and Abby-d. 2016 (Ken).
In his early years, Neil worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators as a linguist in France, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and England. In the last 30 years of his career, he was an instructor and department head of ESL at Fraser Valley College (now UFV). He was known as a grammar guru, a lover of beautiful music and a man dedicated to his family.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 10th, 2:00pm at the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neil Campbell Memorial Scholarship Fund or to the Lighthouse Ministry Centre in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine.
