Amy Rempel was born July 23, 1983 in Kaslo, B.C. and because Amy was the only family
Member born in Kaslo, she would often joke that she was the “hippie” child of the family.
In 1985 the family moved to Armstrong where Amy went through the school system graduating at Pleasant Valley Secondary School. As a teenager she spent several years working at the dairy queen, where she was well liked by her boss and often did night closings. Earning money she got into cars, she had 3 during high school, a Dodge Daytona, a Ford Mustang and Ford Ranger pick-up.
After graduation, Amy and several of her friends moved to Edmonton where she worked a few jobs before starting her time at TD bank. After 13 years in Edmonton, she transferred with TD to downtown Vancouver. After sometime in Vancouver she transferred to Calgary for 2 years and then back to Vancouver where she had many friends at work.
Amy had many cousins she enjoyed and she loved life and was not shy and made friends easily wherever she went. The family did lots of summer travelling and camping and spent winters skiing at Silver Star Mountain, which was not far away. She also enjoyed summer bible camps in the Shuswap and committed her life to the Lord at age 13.
Amy had fond memories of Grandpa Rempel who called her goldy locks and especially the time the two of them went to Lynden fair where they watched the grandstand show, and there they listened to her kind of concert music while Grandpa was really bored, she thought that was really funny.
After sometime as life went on, circumstances and relationships became more difficult for her and caused her to struggle and at the same time holding on to her faith.
Amy will be sadly missed by her family, friends and her coworkers at TD wealth where she spent time on different floors always enjoying the view from her main 18th floor.
Amy passed away on July 8th, 2023 just 15 days before her 40th birthday. She leaves behind her immediate family, Dad & Mom (Ben & Shirley), sister (Shelley), brother in law (Henry), nieces Jenna & Hailey, Brothers (Kevin & Byron) as well as many extended family members including many cousins as well as many friends and co-workers.
Amy is predeceased by Grandparents Jake & Agnes Thiessen and Peter & Marie Rempel and Auntie Mary Rempel.
Love you always Amy, forever in our hearts ~
