Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park offers sweeping views of Oyster Bay and provides an elegant environment for celebrating the life of a loved one. The Chapel on the Hill offers a spectacular view of Mount Rainier, giving families a beautiful place to remember and reflect. We are also proud to have the mast and arm of the decommissioned U.S.S. Bremerton standing in the cemetery.

History

Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home began in 1928 as Miller-Reynolds Funeral Home in the downtown area of Bremerton. Woodlawn Memorial Park was originally developed in the spring of 1940. Construction of the existing funeral home began in the late 60s while the “Chapel on the Hill” was dedicated on November 10, 1968.

In 1970, Mr. and Mrs. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Berg announced the merger of the Miller and Woodlawn funeral homes, which created Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In 1972, the Bergs constructed the Rhododendron Mausoleum, which is where the founders Mr. and Mrs. Burg are resting today. In the early 70s, Miller-Woodlawn received the mast and yard arm of a decommissioned 50s-era heavy cruiser: the USS Bremerton.

Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park have been part of the Dignity Memorial^® network since 1988. Today, the funeral home and cemetery teams continue to care for families with a professional and compassionate approach that's been here since the very beginning.
