Southland Memorial Gardens

With a focus on serving families, Southland Memorial Gardens features a park-like setting full of mature trees, statues and plenty of space. We offer both a mausoleum for those who prefer cremation and properties for traditional in-ground burials. Families also have access to our on-site Chapel of Hope and family burial properties.

Southland Memorial Gardens has over 19 developed gardens as well as a double-depth garden for veterans. In addition, our properties are situated on 60 acres near the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, with 43 of those acres developed for burial, entombment and cremation services.

Local support

Community involvement is important to our team because we live and work in this area. We are among the only cemeteries in West Columbia that hold an Easter sunrise service every year. This service has been a tradition for our cemetery for over 30 years. Additionally, Southland offers a Memorial Day service, Mother's Day and Father's Day services and a candlelight remembrance service.

Cemetery history

Southland Memorial Gardens was developed in 1963 with 4 small gardens available for burial. It eventually grew into one of the largest cemeteries in West Columbia. The first mausoleum was constructed in 1987, and today it has 4 attachments as well as a beautiful mausoleum chapel.

Southland Memorial Gardens hosts several events throughout the year for the families we serve to honor and remember their loved ones.
