Cremation services

History

Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home was established in 1938 by Paul Pendry. Originally, the business was named Lenoir Funeral Home, but it was later changed to Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. The first Lenoir Funeral Home facility was a  2-story residence on Harper Avenue in Lenoir, North Carolina. In addition to providing funeral service, Lenoir Funeral Home operated an ambulance service for the community.

Growing business

In his first year of business, Paul served 52 families with sensitivity and caring concern. Since then, the business has grown to handle more than 300 services per year. Paul's son Bill grew up in the funeral home and continued the family tradition, earning his funeral director’s license in 1967. In 1972, Lenoir Funeral Home moved to a larger and more modern location on Wilkesboro Boulevard.

Renovation and expansion

Over the years, the funeral home building was expanded to better serve Caldwell County families. In February 2003, a crematory was added to the location. The funeral home also underwent an extensive remodel in 2017.

Honoring our legacy

Times have certainly changed since the business began more than 70 years ago. However, the ability of the team at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home to serve families with professionalism and compassion has never wavered.
