Our funeral home features softly lit, elegant décor and boasts a large visitation room that leads to a peaceful outdoor courtyard. The courtyard is beautifully landscaped with colorful flower gardens, benches and birdbaths, and enclosed by a brick façade. The chapel comfortably seats 186 guests, and the visitation room and hallway of the funeral home contain television screens for family and friends to view video memorials during visitation services. Catawba Memorial Park resides on 100 acres of picturesque land. The cemetery offers a variety of burial, cremation memorialization and entombment options, including private estate mausoleums, community mausoleums, traditional ground burial, lawn crypts and cremation niches. Ver másVer menos

Our memorial park has 2 mausoleums: the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum and the Garden Mausoleum. If you or your loved one is a veteran, you can elect burial in the VA Garden of the Crosses, a ground burial area adorned with a military flag display. Ver másVer menos

History

Catawba Memorial Park was established in 1948 by C.G. Fox as the first perpetual care cemetery in Catawba County, North Carolina. In 1978, William E. Rowe purchased the cemetery from Mr. Fox’s 3 daughters, Margie Furlong, Rachel Adams and Mildred Greer.

1978–1982

In 1978, the Garden Mausoleum opened as the first mausoleum in Catawba County to offer above-ground entombment and niches. In 1979, Brent Heffron purchased Catawba Memorial Park from Mr. Rowe. In 1982, the Garden Mausoleum was completed, making it the largest mausoleum in Western North Carolina at the time.

Funeral home addition

A few years later in 1987, Catawba Funeral Home opened on the cemetery grounds, adding vital convenience and simplicity when planning final arrangements.
