An inclusive funeral home

The non-denominational Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home offers funeral services for people of all backgrounds. The Vermillion Chapel, named after the 1st person buried at Meadowridge Memorial Park cemetery, seats 150 people. This formal chapel has a piano and podium, and it is larger even than most Elkridge-area churches. If you are looking to seat more than 150 people, the Vermillion Chapel also has an attached vestibule and portico with speakers that allow overflow attendees to hear a service.

Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park is situated between I-95 and Route 1/Washington Boulevard. It is a short drive from BWI Airport. In addition to Elkridge, we serve the neighboring cities of Columbia, Fort Meade, Ellicott City and Baltimore.

Meadowridge Memorial Park cemetery

Split by a tiered pond with a fountain and a bridge, Meadowridge Memorial Park is a gorgeous cemetery and among the more beautiful, tranquil places in the Baltimore area.

Beautiful cemetery gardens

Private family estates sit alongside the pond, and 37 garden sections allow for in-ground burial or above-ground entombment. Those of Asian descent often choose burial in the Hanwoori garden. We also have sections for veterans, babies and children, and pets. Meadowridge Memorial Park also has 3 mausoleums, as well as a cremation garden, cremation benches and cremation estates.

Within the cemetery there are several distinctive sculptures, including praying hands and a depiction of the Last Supper. One of our cemetery gardens has a lighthouse for cremated remains and a wishing well. The pet cemetery has a sculpture of Noah’s Ark.

The mausoleum chapel seats about 35 people for a small committal service.

Community events

The team at Meadowridge Memorial Park is involved in the Elkridge and surrounding communities. The cemetery hosts a variety of events, including an Easter sunrise service and a December holiday remembrance. Every Mother’s Day, the cemetery hosts a cookout and gives out flowers and gifts to those visiting their mothers, grandmothers and other beloved family members. We remember veterans on Memorial Day, when the team places flags on the graves of military service members buried in the cemetery.
