History

Located in the historic Frankfort Avenue corridor at 2428 Frankfort Avenue, Arch L. Heady and Son-Cralle Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been serving the Louisville community since 1932. Our funeral home was originally established by Herbert C. Cralle Sr., and the Herbert C. Cralle Funeral Home held its first service on May 31, 1931. Prior to becoming a funeral facility, a portion of the building was actually a residence originally constructed by the Newton Combs Shouse family in 1904. 

The funeral business grows and expands

In 1984 Arch L. Heady purchased the business and the funeral home was remodeled, which included the addition of a larger chapel, visiting rooms and a lounge.
