History

Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center represents a tradition of over 100 years of service from 2 landmark families who merged their businesses to create a funeral care legacy in southeast Florida, serving residents and founding city pioneers. Kraeer Funeral Home began with R. Jay Kraeer and his wife, Lorraine, in 1952 in Pompano Beach and eventually grew to 8 locations. The Fort Lauderdale funeral home and crematory location merged in 2007 with Fairchild Funeral Home, the oldest funeral home in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County. Today, Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center is a member of the Dignity Memorial®network, bringing unmatched services to the Fort Lauderdale community.
