History

In 1949, Jerry and Venus Weaver moved from San Diego to Beaumont, California. With their children Lew and Mark, Beaumont’s population grew to about 3,200. The Ray F. Allen Mortuary on the corner of Euclid and 7th Street soon became Weaver Mortuary, which also incorporated an ambulance and oxygen service.

By 1957, the funeral home underwent remodeling and a new chapel was added. Two more children, Paul and Claire, joined the family over the years. Lew lived at the funeral home with his family, and eventually assumed ownership in 1975. His active community involvement further established Weaver’s reputation within the Beaumont area.

A modern funeral home for Beaumont

In 2002, Weaver Mortuary moved from Euclid and 7th Street to a new state-of-the-art facility incorporating a crematory and a beautiful chapel. In 2008, Lew Weaver retired, leaving a legacy of exemplary service and dedication that continues at Weaver Mortuary and Crematory today.
