History

First Memorial Funeral Services began serving the Nanaimo area in 1973, from a small funeral home in the district of Cedar at the south end of the city. The need for a location in the heart of the city and a larger facility prompted the 1983 construction of the current funeral home and chapel at 1720 Bowen Road.
