History

The Dimond family of funeral homes began in 1900 when Charles O. Dimond started the Dimond Funeral Home in South Fork, Pennsylvania, which is still managed by the family today.

Growth and expansion

In response to the rapid growth along the Colorado River in the Tri-State area, Donald Dimond purchased Silver Bell Chapel in Bullhead City, Arizona, in the late 1980s. He renamed it Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel to go along with the Dimond & Sons funeral homes of Southern California.

In 1995, Donald’s son, Kenneth Dimond, took over the management of the funeral home and soon added 2 funeral homes in the Tri-State area: Dimond & Sons Needles Mortuary and Dimond & Sons Valley View Funeral Home. These additions gave residents the opportunity to use the services of a Dimond funeral home regardless of which state they lived in along the Colorado River.
