My Dear, Loving, and Sweet Aunt Vercie. One of the most sweetest and kind hearted souls I know. Your love for God and love for your family and friends. Will always be remembered by all who love you and miss you. Auntie you were a bright light in everyone's life. Including mine and I love you and thank you for being so. And thank you for your love and great family memories that you have shared with me throughout the years. I will never forget the days we went to church together. Or the holidays, my time in California with you and Uncle Jimmy. Or our long chats on the phone. Auntie I was totally not ready when I heard the news that the Lord had called you home. I love you Auntie and I am missing you already. Rest in Power Beautiful Lady 🕊🤍


Vercie was a real friend.  I knew her from childhood.  We often talked about deep subjects as she was wise and kind.  She saw so much of my life and was always there for me. I encouraged her to write a book about her extraordinary life, as I found her stories about her childhood and growing up amazing.  She cared for her brother and we had him on the days Vercie would come  to our home for many years.  He would often say "It's different ain't it Vercie?"  and she would respond "It's different every day Jimmy".  So wise and true.
Her love for him and for her family was so heartfelt, I know that the family who have passed are welcoming her in Heaven.

Dear sweet Vercie was the backbone of our family for more than 

38 years.She took care of us  and nurtured us, helped us through

all those years....cooked wonderful meals for us....and spoiled us

in wonderful ways . She was a real friend and stayed in touch even 

when she moved away.  

We treasured her prayers and letters.

She spent Holidays with our family and friends. 

She made sure we were okay in every way!

She has earned her place in Heaven.

She never forgot a birthday and sent a card and an encouraging letter along with gifts for every occasion. Definitely my favorite aunt! I will miss her so much, not for the gifts (which certainly meant much) but for her sweet soul and love for her Lord Jesus and family. Rest in peace sweet Vercie.
