Roland was fondly known as George to all his friends and family. He was born to George and Loretta Mallett, on April 15, 1936, in Perkinston, Mississippi. George was a very resourceful man despite not having much education. He served four years in the Navy and after leaving the Navy, he started a family. George was married to Cleopatra Mallett and had 5 children. He became an entrepreneur when he started his own truck driving business that lasted over 20 years. Later in life, after his divorce, he found a love for dancing and the ladies. One thing about him, he lived his life how he wanted to.
George is survived by three of his children: Duane, Danny, and Brian with his wife Raquel. He is also survived by his brother Douglas and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday January 26, 2024, at 1pm, at Johnson Mortuary and Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma, Arizona.
